and that pain just cannot be described in this song

our ivory tower is leaking through
and your answer is just to be numb like you
as that is just the life that we lead
the ignorant gain while the faceless bleed

and they bleed, they fucking die all the time
through hands that are exactly like mine
but guided by words that say coldness is fine
spoken through people who are numb inside

those words that lead them to do that are your's
for the hollow it's easy to take up those swords
and now the pain you could not bear
falls thousandfold on those people that care

so i refuse to turn into you
as your used seduced and cheaply amused
by the system that numbs us to constant abuse
with bread and circuses we're taken for fools

so i refuse to lighten your load
we are together on this fucked up road
admit there can be something wrong
stop agreeing to everything that carries this on

so something is done for those in need
